Mike Benoit

Executive Director

Mike has directed CKRC operations since 1994. He is responsible for maintaining CKRC's organizational focus in pursuit of its mission and for fiscal management of the organization. He represents CKRC in various public forums and serves as a contact with federal regulators and legislators.

Mike formerly was Vice President of Environmental Affairs and Technical Development for Cadence Environmental Energy Inc. He worked for Cadence from 1982 - 1996, where he was involved in all aspects of development and commercialization of the use of waste-derived fuels in industrial furnaces such as cement kilns. Mike was part of the original group that organized in 1989 and eventually incorporated as CKRC in 1991.

Mike has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an MBA.

Michelle Lusk

Director of Government Affairs

Michelle has been with CKRC since 1991 and is responsible for managing CKRC's efforts on regulatory and technical issues. Michelle also serves as CKRC's contact with federal regulators and legislators. With Mike Benoit, she works directly with members of CKRC's committees to effectively monitor, identify, and appropriately respond to regulatory initiatives that impact the use of energy recovery in cement kilns.

Michellehe has a B.S. in Education from the University of Texas and an M.S. in Environmental Science from The Johns Hopkins University.
